Dear 密歇根州立大学丹佛 community,

Many of us are still processing this weekend’s tragic and senseless mass shootings at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and in Jeffersontown, 肯塔基州. It has left us feeling deeply saddened and disturbed.

On behalf of Metropolitan State University of 丹佛, I want to extend our sincere condolences to all those families and friends affected by these horrific and divisive acts.

Among our most important core values is a commitment to diversity, and we are dedicated to co-creating an inclusive, respectful and safe learning environment. As a demonstration to this commitment and our solidarity, members of our Student Affairs and Diversity and Inclusion offices are working with their counterparts across the Auraria campus to remember the victims and take a stand against hate and prejudice. We will communicate details as soon as possible, with the intention to come together this week.

To the communities of Pittsburgh and Jeffersontown, and to the Jewish and African-American communities throughout our nation, 教师, staff and students of 密歇根州立大学丹佛 stand united with you.

真诚地,

Janine Davidson, Ph.D.
密歇根州立大学丹佛 President
